Patchwork, Quilting, Lavori d'Ago e Affini
Quilt Italia is the National Quilting, Patchwork and Needlework Association of Italy. It’s purpose is to unite, on a national level, individuals who practice the arts of Patchwork, Quilting and Needlework.
The Association’s goal is to make Italian quilters’ work known in various national and international contexts, such as the European Quilt Association, the European Quilt Expo, and the World Quilt Expos.
We have been a member of the European Quilt Association since October 1997, as the official representative of Italy in an international context.
As the national Italian organization, Quilt Italia gathers and supplies information, opinion and experience pertaining to the above-mentioned arts, offering technical advice and a stimulating reminder of the vast tradition of Italian art in patchwork and quilting, as well as promoting any activities to further its development and recognition.
In pursuit of these goals, Quilt Italia publishes a newsletter called “Quilt Italia News” four times yearly. All members are invited to send in articles, photographs, news about up-coming events, suggestions or questions to the editorial staff.
Periodically the Association also organizes national shows of members’ work.
